What’s the job?

As Director of Food and Beverage you are responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and strategic direction across the Food and Beverage operation of the resort; maximising financial returns, driving the development of people, creating, and maintaining unique guest experiences, executing on brand standards and building awareness of the resort, it’s product offerings and brand in the local community. In addition, the role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations concerning health, safety or other licensing and applicable legislations requirements.

Your day to day

You will assume leadership of a sizable team spanning multiple food and beverage outlets, kitchens, and event venues. Reporting directly to the Resort Manager, your role entails close collaboration with senior management to ensure adherence to brand standards and the ongoing enhancement of team engagement and performance. Your duties encompass the development of comprehensive training initiatives, the establishment of performance benchmarks, and the implementation of human resources protocols, all while cultivating a culture rooted in collaboration and service excellence. Moreover, you will oversee the adoption of responsible business practices, encompassing safety regulations, environmental stewardship, and community involvement, alongside a focused effort on elevating the guest experience through brand consistency and proactive engagement.

Your role will necessitate the solicitation of guest feedback and the oversight of financial operations within the Food and Beverage department. This includes the preparation of annual budgets, cash flow projections, and sales and marketing strategies aimed at accurately forecasting financial outcomes and achieving desired performance targets. Additionally, you will analyse financial metrics to optimize revenue streams, ensure future profitability, and maximize return on investment across the Food and Beverage division.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification/ equivalent in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field plus 4 + years of related experience, including management experience.

  • Must be able to speak local language.

  • Must obtain certification or permits as required by local government agencies.
