CBRE Capital Markets has a leading team in Finland consisting of 13 real estate, corporate finance, and debt professionals in total. The Finnish team, which is part of our Nordic Capital Markets business, has more than 60 colleagues and is fully integrated into CBRE's unrivaled global platform.

We seek analytical and ambitious Capital Markets Interns to join our Investment Properties, Investment Banking, and Debt & Structured Finance teams within CBRE’s Finnish Capital Markets business line. This opportunity will give students with over 180 ECTS a direct view into the future of real estate. It will offer a unique opportunity to collaborate and learn from industry experts and specialists who share their invaluable knowledge and experience with you. As the majority of learning happens by doing, we will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects to gain the knowledge, skills, and ability to grow and develop professionally. The internship will also give an in-depth understanding of CBRE’s operations in Finland and internationally.

Internship Program Overview

The position provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in real estate and investment banking transactions as well as debt & structured finance by working within CBRE’s Capital Markets business and completing approximately five months of internship during the autumn of 2024, from mid-August until the end of the year 2024.

In this role, you will be part of the Capital Markets team and provide financial and strategic advice to clients together with your colleagues. You work primarily with property transactions, real estate corporate finance projects, and other transactions for domestic and international clients. Your main tasks will include i.e. financial modeling, preparation of market analyses and presentations, and information processing.

Your Profile

  • A forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for real estate and a tenacious and analytical mindset

  • Self-motivated, proactive doer with the ability to work uncompromisingly also under pressure

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with professional-level written and verbal abilities both in English and Finnish

  • Strong work ethic, strong inner drive, accountability in own work, and a positive can-do attitude

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and good time management skills

  • Confidentiality and discretion in all business matters, both internally and externally

  • Studying a master’s degree in either Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate Economics, Real Estate Finance or similar

  • Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint; eagerness to learn more

  • Previous internships, for example, in investment banking, management consulting, real estate transaction advisory, or investments, are considered an advantage but not required
