Purpose of the Position: As a master electrician, you will be an integral part of our solar team, ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems within our manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment used in the production process. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, and production staff to uphold safety standards, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including transformers, inverters, wiring, and control panels, sub stations, switch gear, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Diagnose electrical issues in manufacturing equipment and machinery using appropriate testing equipment and techniques. Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as circuit breakers, switches, motors, and sensors, to restore equipment functionality. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical systems. Conduct regular safety inspections, report potential hazards, and participate in safety training programs to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment manuals. Document repairs, modifications, and upgrades to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in electrical systems. Propose and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability, reduce energy consumption, and optimize workflow.
Provide training and technical support to production operators and maintenance personnel on electrical systems and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices to build a skilled and competent workforce.
Assist in training with Journeymen and apprentices in the electrical pipeline.
Willingness to allow master license use.
