JOB SUMMARY Helping Hands Home Care Service is seeking a reliable and highly organized Office Generalist /Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. The primary purpose of the Office Generalist/Prior Authorization Specialist is to communicate with administrative staff and insurance companies to obtain authorizations to coordinate upcoming visits for our Home Health division. This position will work with various insurance companies to obtain eligibility, verify coverage of requested services, and obtain pre-certification for services ordered. This position is responsible for gathering appropriate information, accurately and timely calling insurance companies for verification including benefit details, referral information, precertification/authorization, and determining patient financial responsibilities. This individual will work closely with administrative staff to ensure that proper information is obtained and processed in an efficient and timely manner. This position will also require the employee to perform other related duties and clerical work in the office as assigned by management.
