We are seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our customer s Cloud infrastructure in support of this customer s mission, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems within the Cloud environment, and leveraging AWS technologies to optimize performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the customer s cloud infrastructure, including EC2 Instances, networks, and cloud services

  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs

  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular security scans and audits to ensure data integrity and protection

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues in a timely manner

  • Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and IT systems administration

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

We are actively seeking Cloud Systems Administrators with a minimum of 11 years' experience. Bachelor's or Master s Degrees are preferred in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on AWS cloud technologies

  • Strong understanding of systems administration concepts, protocols, and security best practices

  • Experience in running security scans using a variety of tools, analyzing the findings, and mitigating those finding associated with the Cloud environment and coordinating with the team for resolution of the remainder

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with a wide variety of Cloud technologies and solutions architectures is a plus (AWS, Google, Azure, Oracle etc)

  • Broad understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts in the Systems Administrator field

  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and cloud design concepts

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus

  • SecDevOps experience with automation experience is preferred

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred but not required

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
