AGCO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Lead I – Digital Farming Solutions DevOps to join our dynamic team. The System Architecture Lead is accountable for delivering innovative application designs, tooling, and support to the Digital Farming Solutions DevOps organization. As the IT Lead I in this role applies the combined professional skills, technical and leadership expertise so that, working across the teams, System Architects and DevOps Engineers can provide solutions to best support the AGCO business. This role is responsible for delivering processes and tooling to support web-based applications development and operation and automation for cross-functional areas. The person in this role will have responsibility for leading, managing, developing, and motivating a team of developers and engineers in the support of 7-10 other SCRUM teams. The scope of ownership for this role will include design of documentation and deployment processes, development standards, and research and support of developer toolchains. Your team will provide input to develop and align System Architecture in the Digital Farming Solutions SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Solution train. This role will require you to lead your global team in cross-functional project delivery and support environments, reporting to and in alignment with the strategies of the DevOps Senior Manager for Digital Farming Solutions.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of resources (internal/consultants or local/remote) as direct and matrix reporting relationships supporting system architecture, project delivery, and pipelines and environments.

  • Build DevOps strategy - including CI/CD Pipeline and multiple tool ownership and build development teams and functions for new areas / bring knowledge in-house.

  • Work and lead in multiple geographies, ensuring processes are implemented, enhanced, and supported and aligned with both IT (Information Technology) and business leaders' requirements and expectations within the defined functional stream.

  • Recommend and prepare documentation templates for best practices, business procedures, reporting, configuration, and master data maintenance that can be handled by the helpdesk, super user or second level IT support organizations. Support the implementation of those templates by other teams.

  • Lead the assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of proposed analytical solutions and provides appropriate recommendations based on industry trends, internal benchmarking, and vendor relationships.

  • Lead and contribute to establishing service metrics and monitoring the system for performance, availability, resource productivity, quality of deliverables, service, and license management.

  • Lead and contribute to establishing development standards, design pattern, and system architectures.

  • Ensure individual and team compliance with all AGCO policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley, IT and Security. Follow established governance processes and standards.

What you will bring :

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent education

  • 10+ years of development experience, including 3+ years of experience with Cloud based hosting platforms.

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Extensive cloud development and design experience (Distributed systems, Resiliency, DevOps, Web technologies, Stream Processing)

  • Agile advocate - preferably SAFe

A plus if you have:

  • Test automation experience and CMS experience are a plus.
