Responsibilities The Master Electrician is responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of all electrical systems, including systems additions or modifications on a variety of plant equipment and facilities. They will be responsible for working on all electrical systems that 480 volts and below at the Hillsdale location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacements. Create, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment in the plant. Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate testing equipment and tools. This may include control hardware, including PLC’s and HMI’s. Partner with machine operators on equipment troubleshooting automation needs to increase efficiency. Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints. Fabricate/weld parts as needed. Leads, trains and/or guides other electricians or qualified maintenance personnel in applicable procedures and techniques. Perform building, routine and preventative maintenance, including repairs to facility equipment – mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and/or hydraulic. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of both equipment and supplies. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs other jobs duties as required. Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma or GED. Possession of a current State of Michigan Master Electrician certification, and maintain certification as required. Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S (including Kaizen and Gemba).
