*Job duties: *Perform dynamic testing, coordination and review of driven piles and drilled shafts using a Pile Driving Analyzer® (PDA) system and the CAPWAP® program. Monitor hammer/driving system performance, pile driving stresses, pile structural integrity, soil mechanics analysis and pile ultimate static bearing capacity analysis, using the CAPWAP® software program and GRLWEAP wave equation analysis program. Test of pile structural integrity using the Pile Integrity Tester (PIT), Cross-Hole Analyzer (CHA), and the Thermal Integrity Profiler (TIP) for nondestructive testing and assessments of shafts and ACIP piles. Analyze collected data and preparing reports for clients. Construction plan and geotechnical report review and monitoring to ensure pile quality and compliance requirements. Contract negotiations and project management for pile projects. Travel nationally and internationally 40-50% of the time to client job sites.
*Requirements: *Must have Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Must have 2 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Graduate Research Assistant, or related, including 2 years of experience with: technical writing and engineering reporting, geotechnical design of deep foundations, geotechnical drilling, soil sampling and laboratory testing of soil samples to determine drained/undrained shear strength using tests such as for directs shear test, simple shear test, triaxial shear test and vane shear test; application of geotechnical software such as GRLWEAP, CAPWAP, LPile; site investigation and instrumentation for soil classification by use of hollow stem augers, mud rotary and rock coring with SPT sampling and soil classification as per USCS and AASHTO; and preparation of quotes/proposals and clientele management; and 1 year of experience for mentoring junior employees. Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally 40-50% of the time to client job sites.
