A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Operations Technician III, Additive Manufacturing is responsible for tasks associated with Additive Manufacturing (AM), working directly with AM Engineers and Site Management, and as-needed Innovations teams. He/she will be responsible for running AM machines, and all upstream and downstream operations, thereof, as outlined below. The Operations Technician III, Additive Manufacturing works directly under the guidance of an AM Engineer or Site Engineering Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Complete all required training.
Use hand truck, trolleys, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
Follow and reinforce designated safety rules and regulations.
Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
Follow routers to perform operations on various products.
Prepare lab samples and perform required testing.
Perform different types of operations based on manufacturing needs
Assist in training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Prepare and change-over printer before and after each print, including powder residue clean-up.
Maintain powder lot control during all phases of manufacturing, including re-use.
Remove powder (de-powder) from build structures, using the PRS stations and other manual processes.
Manually remove support structures from devices.
Work with Engineering, Quality, and Management to create and update work instructions and SOPs.
