compassionate professionals as a Direct Care - Residential Worker in the
Residential program at Behavioral Health Network! We have an opening for
full-time, overnight, as well as multiple locations around the Pioneer
Valley-Western Mass! Direct Care Workers provide direct services to
individuals in group homes that support the growth, independence, and
safety of individuals in all settings. They monitor their overall health
and well-being by assisting and monitoring daily living and encouraging
independence, competency and decision-making. Direct Care Workers
initiate, support and ensure quality of life through empowerment, safety
awareness, respect and dignity. Assist with all aspects of medication
treatment and provide related activities to document and support the
services provided to individuals. Provide crisis intervention and
emergencies. Plan and provide opportunities for community activities and
maintain, enhance and foster social support networks and relationships.
In the Residential Support Services program at BHN, we provide 24-hour
staffed residential services, community day support, individual and
family support services, a social club, and an advocacy program. BHN
values the individuals we serve in shared living and small group homes.
Each person we serve is part of a team that includes family, BHN staff,
and other providers who work together to assess the individual?s needs
and goals and then create and maintain a plan reflecting strengths,

Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community
integration of individuals/persons served (required). High school
diploma or G.E.D. (required). Valid driver\'s license and a reliable car
available for working hours (required). Minimum of six months experience
in human services (preferred). Training is provided by BHN. BHN
