Position Overview

  • SGRE is currently seeking highly talented and motivated candidates for a Project Manager position. The candidate will work together with a multi-disciplinary group to ensure proactive and structured approach to new site set up, ensuring optimal site and turbine performance from Day 1. In addition, this candidate will focus on p roject management, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency, resource optimization and cost reduction, providing leadership for the team involved in the management process groups, controlling phases and keeping stakeholders informed with a focus on cost, time, and quality. This position is in the Service Operations – North America, Warranty Major Campaigns Team, which is responsible for managing the execution Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy's warranty project obligations in a structured project landscape. Ensures adherence to agreed PM guidelines and operation standards on behalf of Head Warranty Management and Manager of North America Warranty Project Management.

  • Preference will be given to those who are willing and able to come into the office. We have various office locations throughout US and Canada.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this role.

  • Travel may be required upto 25%.

    Responsibilities

  • Represent Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in all customer-facing warranty project related discussions.

  • Plan and execute warranty projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Implements PM guidelines and processes, and direct respective functional organization as needed.

  • Collaborate with our global counterparts to determine and set the appropriate budget for the projects following our global processes and procedures.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the project initiative in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.

  • Develop full-scale project plans (schedule, budget, etc.) and associated documents.

  • Monitor project performance to ensure the team stays on approved timeline and budget.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

  • Closely coordinate with global and regional counterparts to drive efficiencies and best practices globally.

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plan and schedules.

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and secure those resources through the respective functional departments as needed.

  • Provide regular updates to team and management on work performed, schedule, budget, and overall status.

  • Prepare and contribute to contractual matters, with external parties (i.e., vendors, clients).

  • Be self-motivated, able to think quickly, multi-task and address problems as they arise.

  • Drive a high-performance culture through strong leadership, and effective team management using varied resources across multiple geographical, departmental, and organizational silos.

  • Ability to Influence and Lead stakeholders to the desired targets.

    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of Project Management disciplines e.g. customer value orientation, financials, planning & controlling, risk/opportunity management, stakeholder management, quality and EHS, team development, leadership in projects, etc.

  • Advanced MS Office (word, power point, excel) skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a highly paced environment and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Structured approach to project management and ability to handle project changes occurring in a dynamic environment

  • Proven team player and collaborator with various levels of corporate structures

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 3+ years of Wind industry experience

  • IPMA Project Management Level C or B certification

  • Experience with SAP

  • Prior experience in engineering, warranty management, sales or wind industry experience
