Job description
Want a career and not just a job? Start as a trainee and work your way up with us! We are looking for long-term dedicated staff to grow with our growing business. Work alongside an experienced installer/technician to learn the fireplace trade and after extensive training, you can eventually become a certified installer/technician. Face-to-face interactions with retail customers in their homes and our showroom will be a part of the daily routine.
Learn to install, service, and maintain high-end brands of products in our industry.
Must be comfortable with heights (working on roofs).
Must be capable of heavy lifting and difficult manual labor.
Some warehouse work, building maintenance, and other activities as required.
Prior construction and/or mechanical experience in a professional capacity is not required. Some applicable skills include (but are not limited to): carpentry, gas line plumbing, electrical work, metal fabrication and general finish work, and craftsmanship. Must be capable of reading and understanding specific technical instructions in installation manuals.
Must have the ability to keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
This is an entry-level full-time position with on-the-job training provided.
Overtime in season is a must.
Saturday hours may be required.
Must be reliable.
Valid clean driver's license required.
Pre-employment full driving record report required.

High school education or higher education required.
