Applications Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Applications Engineer to join the dynamic team. Reporting to Asia Pacific IT Manager, Global Logistics Application, this role offers exciting opportunity to demonstrate technical skills to support business strategy and the IT Applications within Arrow's facilities in Asia Pacific. The candidate will have great exposure working with stakeholders in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop browser-based application UI's using JavaScript and ReactJS to support warehouse processes; maintain code quality and automation
Evaluate the effectiveness, including progress and results, of the implemented software.
Work closely with Global team and Applications Architects to ensure product requirements and acceptance criteria are well understood and ensure that the delivered product is in line with the product requirements.
Scope, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. Analyzes and amends software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and participates in software upgrades, revisions, fixes, and patches as mandated by the vendor.
Understand product requirements and responsible for capturing, work planning, documenting solution design, development tasks decomposition, and tracking.
Conduct feasibility study and system assessment.
Implement new module to the business and conduct SQA before system/module go-live.
Frequently communicating with global development team to push & pull technical information and skills.
What We Are Looking For
3 Years or more related experience with a degree; or equivalent work experience.
Working experience with the object-oriented JavaScript pattern using ReactJS or developing Java / Java Spring / JPA with strong Java background and mastery of design patterns to help engineers apply best practices will be a plus
Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, JSON, XML, SQL, and preferably PL/SQL.
Knowledge in Oracle EBS and Database structure are preferred
Programming skills and comfortable working with the development team within the code base.
Knowledge of Logistics and warehouse is an added advantage.
Ability to working in multiculture and complex structure environment
Good English communication is a must and be able to work in overseas time zone occasionally
Be flexible and creative in solution design including leveraging emerging technologies.
Can-do attitude and a team player
Project management experience with a result-oriented mindset to ensure timely delivery
Ability to stay focused while managing multiple projects and alternating priorities
