Guidehouse Database Developer in Honolulu, Hawaii

What You Will Do :

  • You will be a part of an application development team, creating database objects, writing T-SQL, ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS tooling, and other products as necessary.

  • There is a data warehouse and other large databases where data sometimes needs to be moved to support application needs and you will support this . Other times there are smaller application databases which will also need your support.

  • You will supports performance tuning and helps maintain index and the overall health of the objects in the database.

  • Develop operations and maintenance support documentation for the SQL Server database.

  • Fully embrace DevOps culture, eliminate barriers and bridge moats

  • Monitor and troubleshoot database reliability and performance issues

  • Develop documentation that overviews the automated data loading processes and procedures

  • This is a fast-paced environment where troubleshooting and working in a team environment is vital. Using your previous experience and open to thinking outside of the box is important in this environment.

  • Mentor and coach less experienced developers.

What You Will Need :

  • BA/ BS Degree. Degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience.

  • 4-6 of experience with T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

  • Ability to work with a development team to support all database operations and ETL for applications as well as back-office processes.

  • Experience with Performance tuning of ETL processes with large volumes of data

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting existing processes

  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing work and closing out tickets in a timely manner

  • Deep understanding and experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery

  • SQL Server database experience and migration.

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery

  • Be able to set up High Availability clusters

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.

  • Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of formats.

  • Experience in Agile development methodology.

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder and pass govt background investigation.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Government or large organization experience

  • Experience in working with Scrum is a plus

  • Experience with Liquibase and other cloud database tools

The annual salary range for this position is $95,800.00-$143,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
