Unisys OS 2200 & Network Monitoring Systems Analyst in Hopkins, Minnesota

What success looks like in this role: This role is to monitor the performance and health of the data processing equipment and applications using a 3rd party tool called Sightline. This requires monitoring 4 Dorado partitions in addition to 700+ Windows and Linux servers to identify anomalies or leading indicators of issues that could affect the performance or client experience. This role is critical to the smooth operations of many of the applications being run in the Client data center. The duties of the position are: Work with the Client staff to provide technical, advisory services and trouble shoot issues and root cause. Monitor network traffic among hundreds of Windows/Linux/Dorado systems Monitor performance metrics on Windows, Linux and Dorado using the Sightline tool. Investigate logs from Dorado, Windows, SQL Server, IIS, Linux for diagnosing issues that affect application performance. Identify to the Administration team any issues or warning signs related to the operation of the Dorado so they can be addressed timely. Share and contribute to the development of best practices You will be successful in this role if you have: Required Qualifications: Knowledge of Dorado and OS 2200 Performance metrics Knowledge of Network Technologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English US -Citizen or US-Resident. Must be US-based. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in Sightline tool Knowledge of Windows System performance and log analysis. Knowledge of Linux System performance and log analysis. Familiarity with the Unisys Support Structure Incident Management experience Problem Management experience ServiceNow experience Microsoft System Center Operations Manager experience Be available for occasional meetings or events at client location in PA. #LI-BC1 This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
