Duties include taking responsibility for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities in this role
Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Manually or electronically post financial information
Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Outstanding data entry skills
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Document Scanning experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Deep understanding of numeric data entry
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
2+ years of accounting experience required
