Job Description of an Energy Reduction Technician:
The Energy Reduction Technician will play a crucial role in the
dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling of HVAC units for testing
purposes. The primary responsibility is to ensure that HVAC units are
thoroughly cleaned and operationally prepared for testing and functional
checks. The Energy Reduction Technician will work closely with other
team members and notify specialists promptly if any issues or
malfunctions are detected.
Duties & Responsibilities of an Energy Reduction Technician:
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble HVAC units in preparation for
testing.\
- Ensure all HVAC units are cleaned to meet testing standards and
operational requirements.\
- Set up and tear down cleaning equipment daily, maintaining cleanliness
and functionality.\
- Account for all cleaning tools and equipment at the beginning and end
of each shift.\
- Be willing to travel as required for job functions.\
- Remove and replace thermostats as necessary during the tuning
process.\
- Capture before and after photos of all cleaned units and share them
with the Site Supervisor at the end of each shift.\
- Manage time clock responsibilities, including clocking in and out for
lunch breaks.\
- Be flexible to handle any job-related tasks and unique requirements
that may arise.\
- Submit all required documentation in a timely manner, as directed by
M3 ADMIN.\
- Meet all training requirements within the predetermined timeframe.\
- Obtain and pass EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of employment;
the company will cover the cost of the first test.\
- Attend and pass the HVAC tune-up class within the first 30 days of its
offering.\
- Embrace the growth trajectory of the position, aiming for advancement
within 6 months to 1 year.
