JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for clerical operations of the Department office
and supporting the Department interface with the general public.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in emergency preparedness activities as needed.
May assist in Public Health billing as needed.
Assist the Immunization RN with data entry, patient communication, and
mailings as needed.
Verification of Medicaid and Medicare eligibility of clients for billing
purposes.
Maintain confidential data and information according to HIPAA protocols.
Assist with Environmental Health license renewal processes and accept plan
reviews with fees.
Assist with Senior Nutrition and Home Care departments as needed.
Ensures patient/client paperwork is completed correctly and routed
appropriately.
Handles telephone inquiries, messages, assisting public at the
counter, research, providing copies, collection and deposits for this
information
Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to
correspondence to be answered by the department.
Performs data entry and provides back up.
Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other
records.
Answers and screens department telephone calls, directs calls and takes
messages, answers or routes inquiries.
Assists with finance and billing department duties as necessary.
Coordinates department schedules and makes appointments.
Greets visitors and dispenses information
Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations.
Conducts research, collects information, compiles and types reports
Serve as liaison with Information Technology to solve computer problems
Coordinates and arranges meetings, reserves and prepares facilities,
and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
Operates office equipment to include FAX transmissions and making copies
of correspondence or other printed materials.
Prepares outgoing correspondence, including mail, e-mail and faxes and
makes distribution as required.
Prepare orders for supplies and office equipment as needed, and arranges
for equipment maintenance.
This position is the back up for the Billing and Finance Coordinator and
must have a general understanding of preparing vouchers and deposits.
Collects money from private pay clients and donations.
Tracks payments from Home Care, Senior Nutrition and Restaurant fees and
enters into County Data processing program.
Tracks monthly mileage reports for finance department.
Assists with vaccine clinic needs including: scheduling,
registration, payment, information sheets, consents, and donations in
electronic health records system.
Attends training and department meetings when required.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all
employees, other agencies, other county offices and the public.
Represents the agency in a professional manner at all times.
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Salary
Pay range (1950 annual hours): $38,585.90 - $58,364.64 (hiring
rate DOQE) **Eligible for hiring incentive pay in the amount of
$5,000.00 ($2500 paid after 6 months in position, $2500 paid after 2 years in p
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and one (1)
year of general office experience; or an equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Possession of a valid, State of Colorado driver s license.
