Are you currently looking for a new position? A company in the Service industry has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a company in the Service industry. Located in Houston, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a temporary to hire position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Your responsibilities
Fulfill full-cycle A/P
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Perform special projects as assigned
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Provide support during internal and external audits
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Requirements
Code Invoices experience preferred
Code Invoices experience required
Practical knowledge of month end closings
Experience with Check Runs
Purchase Orders experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
General familiarity with Vendor Contacts
Adeptness in Enter Vendor Invoices
Proficiency in Coding Invoices
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Great attention to detail
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
