System One Chief Financial Officer in Houston, Texas

Growing Hospitality & Real Estate company located West Houston is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to add to the team!

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal member of the Executive Management team responsible for overseeing various financial aspects of the company, including accounting, finance, investor relations, and contributing to business growth strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO and other executive board members, the CFO's role involves strategic planning, financial control, and coordination across different projects and corporate levels.

Key responsibilities of the CFO include:

  • Developing and monitoring short and long-term financial objectives.

  • Collaborating with the Executive Team on optimizing tax and financial structures for transactions.

  • Preparing and analyzing budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.

  • Implementing comprehensive job cost and cash flow management systems.

  • Directing and overseeing Finance & Accounting functions.

  • Advising on the impact of long-range planning and regulatory actions.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with senior executives.

  • Providing financial advice on business activities, including transitions to the next generation.

  • Monitoring capital markets, financing, and industry trends.

  • Managing financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting.

  • Overseeing commercial debt portfolios, compliance, and reporting.

  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws.

  • Managing company liabilities, contingencies, contracts, and insurance needs.

  • Procuring and strategizing insurance coverages.

  • Supervising accounting and finance employees.

    Job requirements for the CFO position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and CPA (preferred but not required).

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership roles in hospitality real estate development, property management, finance, and accounting.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to solve problems and apply common sense understanding.

  • Proficiency in database software, computer literacy, and Microsoft Office.

  • Role is onsite and offering $195-245k +bonus depending on experience
