Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group (www.huntongroup.com) , is seeking to hire a motivated HVAC Technician Apprentice to join our team. The Apprentice will primarily assist HVAC Field Technicians in servicing and repairing HVAC equipment and systems, as well as in pipefitting and structural layout tasks. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in the HVAC industry, coupled with Technical/Trade School certification specializing in HVAC or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop HVAC trade skills.

  • Attend in-house apprenticeship training class.

  • Complete training assignments.

  • Operate hand and power tools.

  • Adhere to safety policies and practices.

  • Report daily activities via MobileTech.

  • Collaborate with senior technicians.

  • Perform maintenance on equipment.

    Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years).

  • Must be willing to work after hours and weekends when required.

  • Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

    Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior work history with Hunton Group preferred.

  • Universal EPA certification is preferred.

  • TWIC Card is preferred.

  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screening.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
