We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Project Manager for the Operations Process and Systems Team in our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management Production Operations organization.

This position can be based in Midland, TX, Platteville, CO, or Houston, TX. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects through strong collaboration with Business Unit operations and Engineering personnel. 

Responsibilities:

You will be part of an integrated team of highly motivated engineers and data analysts striving to create all the necessary datasets, tools, multidiscipline workflows, and key performance indicators necessary to drive process improvement and optimization for Oxy’s production. If you are a dynamic and sociable person who is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, have experience in or have a strong desire to learn Agile/Scrum methodologies, and capable of assisting Engineering managers with milestone definition, resource allocation, and forecasting, then this opportunity may be a great fit for you.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year college or university.

·         Minimum 5 years upstream oil and gas experience and/or experience managing software development projects focused on operational execution.

·         Ability to manage projects across multiple technical and operations teams.

·         Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas and gain consensus from stakeholders with varying degrees of experience.

·         Employs open, constructive communication to aid prioritization; tracks ambiguity to mitigate project risks.

·         Demonstrated ability to champion and drive ideas/programs/solutions.

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills and prioritizes effectively.

·         Able to demonstrate passion, energy, and drive, especially in the face of adoption resistance.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

·         Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodologies

·         Experience with databases and SQL Syntax

·         Ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly from multiple data sources with a variety of tools
