Honeywell Principal Technical Sales Engineer (Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Capture) in Houston, Texas

Honeywell is hiring a Principal Technical Sales Engineer. This role will be a part of a high-performing technical sales team in the Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Capture area of Honeywell Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS). The position will be based in North America, ideally located in Rosemont, IL, Houston, TX, or Tulsa, OK where we have Engineering Offices and operate on a hybrid work schedule. This role will have up to 50 % domestic and international travel. The position will report to the Sr. Manager Technical –Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Solutions.

You will be primarily accountable for assessing technical needs and requirements of carbon capture and clean hydrogen inquiries, developing technical proposals, and supporting sales during the development of commercial proposals. You will interface with our engineering disciplines, our customers, participate in business and sales strategy meetings, lead pricing and engineering reviews with our leadership teams, coach less experienced engineers, develop tools, and support productivity improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead technology selection, process configuration, and proposal strategies

· Own the technical strategy in developing and closing new opportunities.

· Manage requirements throughout the sales cycle internally and externally from a technical perspective. Work with a cross functional team from equipment, engineering, modular and product development to manage the technical proposal development with their deliverables

· Develop economic analyses for the technology being offered

· Articulate quantified economic benefits of offerings

· Configure and run process simulations for clean hydrogen and carbon capture technologies

· Prepare commercial summaries for project opportunities

· Work closely with the development team in supporting development of new product offerings, improving existing products and de-risking offerings to the market

· Present and explain commercial summaries to senior management in review meetings

· Coach less experienced technical sales engineers

· Develop technical tools to expedite UOP responses and drive organization efficiency

The annual base salary range for this position is 149000.00 - 190000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE:

· 12+ years of experience in selling/proposing licensed technologies and/or process equipment, and/or engineering design services in oil and gas or power, steel, and cement industries

· Minimum 5+ years in PSA Design or Operations, Minimum 10+ years in Hydrogen or Gas Processing in a technical function

· Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering

· Ability to travel to UOP customers worldwide (up to 50% domestic & international travel)

· Ability to size process equipment and prepare equipment lists and data sheets

· Ability to lead design review meetings with execution and management

· Advanced knowledge of Unisim

· Ability to conduct CAPEX/OPEX economic analyses to determine optimum solutions

· Ability to articulate and propose lifecycle solutions

· Strong presentation skills and project management skills

· Prior field experience in commissioning/startup of Hydrogen and/or gas processing systems/complexes
