The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for all of the Project Quality requirements on the Project as per the Clients requirements liaising with the fabrication site and coordinate inspections. They will be the point contact for the Suppliers for Quality on the Project and interact with other disciplines, Engineering, Supply Chain and Project Management.
General Responsibilities:
Review and approval of project specific Supplier Quality and manufacturing documents
Track, manage and resolve project nonconformities
Ensure Client Quality requirements are met as set forth in Client Specifications
Inspect or support assigned inspectors to ensure pressure vessels, equipment, piping and structural fabrications are to code and project requirements
Ensure alignment of inspection and expediting activities
Review and approval of Supplier manufacturing records
Preparation of Project Specific Quality Documents
Perform Supplier Audits
Review and approve Supplier deviation requests / disposition technical queries related to Quality
Coordinate with Vendor, Customer & TPI for the predefined inspection, witness and hold points per project ITPs
Review of the final documentation package approved
Support Internal Audits
Working with global Quality teams
Undertaking training as required
Experience/Requirements:
Required:
Knowledge of the design and fabrication requirements of packaged process units
Be able to read fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, piping, and structural fabrications
Knowledge of ASME and AWS welding requirements
Knowledge of inspection and NDE requirements
Must be able to communicate in a professional manner
Ability to review project and customer technical specifications and incorporate the requirements into Project Quality Plans and ITP’s
Experience with Supplier surveillance and the review of Quality documentation such as WPS/PQRs, NDE reports, various test reports and material certificates
Ability to read PFD’s and P&ID’s
Competency in pressure vessel and structural welding preferred
Worked with a medium to heavy manufacturing facility with machining, welding and assembly processes
Knowledge of various materials of construction.
Experience in oil, gas and water processing projects for the oil and gas industry
Required to be fully numerate and computer literate (MS Office)
Good communication skills at all levels of the business

At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $ 100,00 annualy.
