Location: Northeast Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + performance-based bonus
About the Role
A growing company is seeking a Purchasing Manager to take charge of vendor relationships and procurement processes. The sales team is currently spending too much time sourcing quotes and managing vendor negotiations—this role will focus on structuring agreements, maintaining supplier partnerships, and ensuring cost updates are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage supplier agreements to optimize pricing and supply consistency.
Track costs, monitor vendor pricing, and update records regularly.
Create cost analysis models to assess material price fluctuations.
Oversee supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long-term procurement goals.
Utilize ERP software for purchasing, inventory management, and reporting.
Identify areas for process improvement and cost savings within procurement operations.
Assist in sourcing equipment as needed (preferred but not required).
What We’re Looking For
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor contracts.
Familiarity with auditing suppliers and ensuring quality control.
Proficiency in ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management.
Background in manufacturing or industrial procurement is a plus.
