Education/Training - Work Experience
HS Diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years as a structural steel shop fabrication foreman. An advanced degree or training in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
Demonstrated Knowledge
An individual must have a progressing knowledge in the areas of :
AWS & AISC standards and codes
AWS structural and seismic codes, ASCE, and AISC standards and codes
Production/material specifications related to the fabrication and erection of structural steel
Coordination of work/ship schedules; generate and comprehend functional statistical data.
Budget planning/forecasting
Capital expenditure planning
Workforce planning
Continuous improvement methodologies
Software & Technology
Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Blue Beam PDF Software. Working knowledge of production control software preferred.
Work Environment Position may require air/road travel as needed and required. A clean driving record will be required due to required road travel. Current and valid drivers license and proof of acceptable insurance is required. This position is generally outdoors in an open bay work area.
