Job Description SummaryResponsible for leading the plant Training Program. Main responsibilities include coordinate and oversee all Certified Training sessions, monitor training compliance, develop and oversee detailed a training roadmap/plan for each area, create and update training metrics, and review training records/documents to assure compliance with regulations/policies. Other responsibilities include support to Internal communications and lead employee and community activities team.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the plant Training Program.

  • Administers and manages C2C program for the plant.

  • Enter Training Roster data into C2C program.

  • Train associates on key trainings such as: New Hire Orientation, Train the Trainer and Train the Learner.

  • Lead the Internal Trainer Certification Program.

  • Identify training needs in conjunction with an Engineering Change Order (ECR/O) originator.

  • Coordinate trainings including BDU trainings.

  • Creates, maintains and reports training metrics. Aware the Plant Management of any noncompliance issues.

  • Review all Training Rosters and Training Files to assure compliance with GMP and Training Program guidelines.

  • Participates in the design land or execution of Knowledge Transfer Activities.

  • In coordination with supervisor develops Proficiency Plans for associates

  • Track progress of Development Plans of associates.

  • Train the Trainer for required trainings and conduct sessions as needed.

  • Design online trainings and implement innovative solutions for training and development.

  • Develop internal communications as needed.

  • Design communication tools (such as e-learnings, etc.).

  • Support internal/external audits related to training.

  • Update C2C curricula as needed. Support Managers/Supervisors in the development and update of training curricula under their area of supervision.

  • Develop and maintain training files for contractors and professional services personnel.

  • Develop and/or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to training or Human Resources area.

  • Lead the Employee and Community Activity Team for Cayey sites. Coordinate all Cayey multi-site activities.

  • Design and deliver trainings as requested.

  • Promotes a safe work environment. Provides recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Follow safety procedures. Participates in Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) programs. Initiates a corrective action whenever a hazard is identified. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.

  • Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to next level of management.

  • Provide recommendations to support systems that continuously improve product/process quality and product availability, reduce cost, and increase production capability.

  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge on MS Windows environment software such as MS Office (MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in curricula design for training and development.

  • Knowledge in adult learning process.

  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO and OSHA requirements.

  • Knowledge on Human Resources systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

  • AST (American Society of Training and Development) Certification preferably.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires a bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Science, Education or Management and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position in a pharmaceutical/medical device/biotechnology environment or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Occasionally, the work requires lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of light weight level objects. In addition, occasionally requires walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, fingering, and seeing (depth perception / visual color discrimination). Frequently, the job requires standing, sitting and seeing (far vision). Constantly, the work requires talking, hearing and seeing (near vision).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The work is performed constantly inside the building. Does not present risks and discomforts in the employee's physical surroundings.
