Purpose:
This role will be part of the account based team and have support, training, access to the UK CBRE Full Spectrum Lab services
The role will provide onsite general laboratory equipment repair, maintenance and calibration support, and supporting administration operations
The role will work as part of an onsite solution to manage the clients laboratory assets, undertaking regular preventative maintenance and calibration, supporting the onsite engineering team in accordance to client quality and health and safety processes. Working with a wide range of laboratory equipment including the supporting administrative tasks in the lab space to drive quality and efficiency for the client’s scientific staff.
This role is onsite and covers all 4 of the Clients sites (Huntingdon/ Suffolk / Shardlow / Harrogate) - Primarily based at Huntingdon.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
The primary function of this role is to deliver general service engineering to both GxP and non-GxP laboratory assets in accordance to the agreed scope of works. Delivering services within agreed client Service level agreements and meeting Key Performance Indicators. Working on the client TMS database taking ownership of maintaining the data integrity of client system. This role will support all company contractual obligations and tasks working alongside the onsite client team and CBRE management.
Key accountabilities:
Ensure prompt, flexible, customer focused equipment support whilst maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory and engineering standards. Keeping client TMS database updated and accurate in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain a strong client and end user relationship
Attend client meetings to review on-going performance, areas for continual improvement and governance
Support to CBRE Management Team to ensure all activities are completed
Engineering:
Undertake Triage of assets in response to reported Work Orders, in accordance with client SLA
Undertake Self Perform preventative maintenance on assets assigned to CBRE for general lab equipment
Escort onsite visiting vendors to appropriate work areas within laboratories and comply with client site induction processes
Carry out regular asset sweeps (and potential for re-tagging of equipment)
Create, manage and review supporting documentation e.g. service reports
Monitor the performance of the scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes
Person Specification:
Experience working as a laboratory engineer within a Pharmaceutical setting, trained in General Lab equipment and able to undertake servicing and Planned Maintenance – Such as Incubators, Fridges/Freezers, Microscopes, Tissue processors, centrifuges, Balances and Pipettes
Experience within the GXP/GMP Laboratory/Pharmaceutical/ equivalent sector
Knowledge of Purchase Order and Invoice creation, management and reporting
PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Attention to detail, precision checking of documents, service reports and calibration records
Sound knowledge of Calibration requirements within in GXP environment
