Commonwealth Metal Company is looking for an experienced Cost Estimator to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze documents, blueprints and shop drawings to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Qualify potential customer projects through the use of probing questions
- Determine what factors will influence the cost of service or product
- Prepare material and labor cost estimates for the product or service
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Negotiate and obtain the best prices and quotes from suppliers
- Manage bids from vendors and contractors
- Use bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
- Present prepared estimates to management team
- Compile and record actual costs
Skills:
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Basic Knowledge of BuildingConnected and Plan Hub a Plus
- General knowledge of welding and raw material suppliers preferred
- Detail Oriented
- 5+ years of Estimator experience required
- Background in manufacturing/construction preferred

- Shift M-F from 8:30-5pm (Hours flexible)
- Position is predominately Full Time
