Job Description
An employer in the Huntsville area is looking for a Lead Systems Safety Engineer to support an Army contract that is developing a missile system. This person would be responsible for supporting and leading safety review boards related to as well as managing all safety documents. He/she would lead IPT meetings, close actions and manage suppliers.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of experience as a Safety Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
Experience with MIL-STD 882E
Experience attending Safety Review Boards (ideally Army Fuze and Safety Review Board)
Some familiarity supporting a component of a missile system (ie fuze, guidance set, proximity sensor, initiation safety device)
Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) - Degree in Electrical Engineering null
