Job Description:

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS + 5 years of exp; MS + 3 years of exp; PhD + 0 years of exp or 4 additional years acceptable in lieu of a degree.

  • Current Security certification (e.g. Security+ CE or CISSP)

  • Current Secret security clearance required.

  • Building applications using Jenkins or Jenkins like tools

  • Manage containers using container orchestrator Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) preferred.

  • Build custom scripts to automate tasks using Ansible, Node.js or Java

  • Experience of automating tasks using Ansible and/or Terraform.

  • Experience of administering virtualized or containerized systems in VMWare and Docker

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating within a DevSecOps and Continuous Deliver/Continuous Integration culture

  • Experience creating containers with Docker/Podman and managing them with container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift preferred)

  • 5+ years of RHEL 8/9 system administration experience. Scripting experience in bas

  • Experience with VMWare ESXi 7/8x

  • Experience with SSO, Kerberos, Active Directory, Linux and Networking

  • Experience with RHEL Anaconda and Kickstart automation

  • Experience with infrastructure as code, utilizing Ansible

  • Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment

  • Experience with source control systems, GIT, Subversion

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins/Gitlab or something similar (Jenkins preferred), and preferably with containerized builds.

  • Familiarity with deployment automation using Ansible (as well as Tower, or whatever they're calling it now as well

Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
