The Quality Engineer Staff will have responsibility for alignment of process & product quality on the Modeling and Simulations Contract Framework and Tools, (MASC-F) program. This position requires a strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance, Quality processes and practices, and the ability to adapt to program needs. You will help to guide technical decisions that craft the software system design and drive design evolution. Having a Quality Assurance approach, you will use independent & objective judgement of process performance against Software, Network, and Cyber product quality. You will work side by side with engineering and program management, evaluating product and processes to drive detailed improvements, and facilitate those activities, to improve product quality and process cycle times. Through an understanding of the S/W and Hardware, you will recommend and analyze program and quality process performance and product quality metrics and drive their implementation with the ability to identify adverse trends, understand/identify risks, and drive effective corrective action. The candidate will collaborate with the Quality Program Manager and work closely with both the Quality team and the Multi-functional Product Teams. You will apply change, and maintain the quality management system that drives the delivery of objectives and features that the Missile Defense Agency customer has defined in their Statement of Work and MASC-F Element Specification, for operational deployment. Additional Quality Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•For issues discovered, facilitate Root Cause Analysis events that identify complete root causes and associated corrective actions.

•Evaluate process/product performance and participate/collaborate with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements.

•Ability to evaluate data to identify systemic issues and trends; provide reports to senior management.

•Perform HW and Software Configuration audits.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience in Quality Management Systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 or CMMI.

Experience with Internal Auditing.

Experience working with DCMA and/or Customers

Demonstrated effective communication skills and working in a teaming environment

Desired Skills:

Expert in using problem solving methodologies such as DMAIC and PDCA.

Proposal and BOE Writing

Test Engineering Background

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
