We are recruiting for an experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Please submit resume for interview consideration if the following applies to you:
Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
Receive goods, verify the quality and count all unloaded items and report any discrepancies immediately
Accurately maintain shipping records for requested categories including goods returned and returnable pallets
Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage
Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Bill of lading preparation
Microsoft Office Suite proficient and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data and create reports
Forklift certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous ERP experience preferred
Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stretching
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs consistently
salary: $20 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities
Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all unloaded items. Check/verify against suppliers' count and immediately report discrepancies to carriers and supervisor. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Prepares bills of lading for shipments. Transports materials on shipping dock with hand truck or other forklift. Ability to accurately sort, counts, and verify items received. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
