Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The Work
In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment working internal model framework development, internal tactical to model conversion, supporting application development and translation of coding languages for modernization efforts. On occasion you will work to support deliverable documentation of the models developed after performing a verification and validation effort.

Basic Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field and minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of C++, GoLang, Cython, Bash, Javascript, SQL, MongoDB
• Recent Experience in GMD GS/GWS Model Development
• Experience in developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Experience in both Windows and Unix OS environments
• Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
Desired Skills:
• Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with Ada, MATLAB, Rust
• Experience with Integrated risk management
• Experience with requirements development/collaboration
• Exposure to Stimulation and Simulation Software

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
