Jacobs ESSCA Group Systems Engineer - EUS Interfaces #ADV0008DZ in Huntsville, Alabama

This candidate will provide systems engineering and integration support to the Systems Design and Definition Branch (EV72) for the Space Launch Systems (SLS) Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) element and to the MSFC Systems Engineering and Integration Division (EV70).

The candidate will coordinate and interface with multiple EUS engineering disciplines, system elements, cross-program elements, and customers, as well as participate in EUS reviews, meetings, working groups, task teams, and trade studies. The successful candidate will work with EUS element customers and partners from inception to deployment to ensure that stakeholder needs are satisfied.

The tasks that the candidate will perform include:

Support the development of systems engineering products for program milestones reviews, and the subsequent activities where these products are assessed and matured.

Provide technical integration, including risk-based insight, through traceability and assessment of interface design activities.

Support EUS element, and subsystem, design trades and analysis necessary to validate interface requirements.

Maintain control of the technical baseline and continually track compliance of interface requirements during design, development, testing, and evaluation.

Perform technical assessments of proposed internal and external interface requirements to understand the impacts imposed by modifications.

Continually communicate issues, best practices, lessons-learned and other technical details related to systems engineering, requirements management, and integration processes.

Job Requirements:

A degree in engineering or a related discipline is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. Educational requirements are the equivalent of a BS with at least 5 years of systems engineering experience.

Experience working in requirements management, functional design definition, hardware integration, or requirements verification and validation.

Familiarity with how to perform a design functional analysis or development of operational concepts.

Additional Qualifications:

1+ Year(s) of Experience in Leading Technical Teams

Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS

Must be comfortable working across organizational boundaries and engineering disciplines to identify and resolve integration issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SLS or EUS programs and related SE processes
