Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer - Huntsville, AL in Huntsville, Alabama

We are seeking a talented engineer that enjoys working as a member of a small team doing military defense scenarios, operations analysis and simulation development to support all the Lockheed Martin Business areas and approved international customers.

This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin’s campus in Huntsville, Alabama working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

**This position requires an interim DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with interdisciplinary subject matter experts to analyze current and future air & missile defense architectures.

• Learn to use a Lockheed Martin modeling, simulation and analysis tool suite to build operational scenarios, and assess effectiveness.

• Document results and findings in content rich presentations and executive summaries.

• Provide findings in formal and informal presentations to teammates, peer, senior level decision makers, key customers and end users.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, Engineering (Undeclared), Mechanical Engineering, or STEM focused technical degrees.

Experience with U/S. Army Air Defense Artillery missile defense systems and sensors.

Experience with Integrated Battle Command System.

Python programing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability and willingness to work in a small team collaborative environment.

Broad technical acumen to apply to problem solving skills and system thinking talent.

Desire to learn integrated air and missile defense operations, and associated multidomain operational architectures and concepts.

Ability to obtain a Interim Secret Clearance prior to start date. (Must be a US citizen to obtain a clearance)

Willingness and ability to do occasional short term travel to US and International locations

Desired Skills:

• Relevant military experience in air and missile defense related career fields

• Experience with operational planning, command and control, and wargaming is a plus

• Familiarity with operator in the loop simulations and human factor engineering

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
