Junior Achievement of North Central MI District Coordinator - Huron, Tuscola and Sanillac in Huron, Michigan

Junior Achievement of North Central Michigan is excited to be expanding the outreach of our financial literacy programs in Huron, Tuscola and Sanillac Counties. Our newly created position of District Coordinator will encompass the three counties, is 25 hours per week with a flexible work from home schedule, salary $21.00 an hour.

*General Duties *We are seeking a self-motivated person who can partner with community leaders and school personnel to facilitate fundraising, program implementation and general awareness of Junior Achievement in Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac Counties. The primary duties of the District Coordinator, within their assigned counties, are to manage and develop local JA Affiliate boards, determine local fundraising and program goals, devise and implement a plan to attain these goals. This position will represent the local JA operation and ensure quality service to schools, donors, and boards of directors in order to meet established goals. This position will report to the Vice President of Education and the President/CEO.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a Board of Directors in each area to build a sustainable and growing funding model. Maintain, nurture and develop a committed, engaged, diverse Board of Directors. Schedule and manage Board meetings and communications. Forge relationships with potential donors, school personnel and community leaders. Implement programs in local schools, recruit and train volunteers. Engage past and new corporate/foundation/service clubs/individual donors to support programs. Provide follow up and information to funders as part of a designed stewardship strategy. Be a JA Advocate, attending community functions, presenting to service clubs Other responsibilities as required to reach established goals

Education and Work Experience B.A. or B.S. preferred Sales or marketing experience preferred
