As a Manager/Assistant Manager at Marylou\'s Coffee, you will oversee
the day-to-day operations of our caf?, embodying our mission and
ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly service and our renowned
coffee. Reporting directly to the District Manager, your role involves
training and supervising staff, managing finances, and maintaining a
clean, organized caf? environment. Ideal candidates possess a positive

Key Responsibilities: Recruiting, Hiring, Training & Development:
Facilitate the application process for new hires. Utilize Marylou\'s
training materials to onboard and develop employees. Orient new hires to
company policies and procedures. Monitor employee performance and
adherence to standards. Ensure proficiency in equipment operation. Train
Assistant Manager for managerial responsibilities. Communicate
performance issues to the District Manager. Handle employee separations
and payroll adjustments. Communication & Employee Relations: Maintain
caf? bulletin board and schedule meetings. Encourage open communication
and address employee concerns. Direct employees to appropriate conflict
resolution channels. Utilize resources to develop an efficient team.
Address customer complaints promptly. Inform District Manager of
business-affecting issues. Ensure timely response to communications.
Disseminate product information to team. Monitor staffing and supplies.
Delegate responsibilities to Assistant Manager. Attend mandatory
managers\' meetings. Scheduling: Maintain full-time status with minimum
hours. Ensure adequate shift coverage. Seek assistance for coverage as
needed. Adhere to opening and closing procedures. Schedule within
budgetary constraints. Submit weekly budget reports. Establish
consistent scheduling practices. Bookkeeping: Adhere to cash handling
procedures. Make daily cash deposits. Ensure accuracy in cash drawer
management. Follow lottery procedures meticulously. Complete weekly
lottery settlements accurately. Manage inventory and ordering
efficiently. Quality & Waste Control: Minimize product waste. Maintain
detailed records of leftover inventory. Handle perishable products
promptly. Ensure product rotation and prevent expired items. Security:
Maintain updated employee key records. Ensure functionality of security
systems. Train employees on security protocols. Manage cash handling
securely. Handle bank deposits securely. Maintain confidentiality.
