Officer) - (250207-50002222) Purpose of Position: To provide security
for patients, visitors and employees. Protect the assets of the Hospital
including the buildings and property of Cape Cod Hospital. To enforce
all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the Hospital.
Description: *Sign-On Bonus Eligible! Patrol Hospital buildings and
grounds, to protect against fire, theft, illegal entry, infractions of
safety regulations and other irregularities. Insure the security and
safety of Hospital properties, employees, equipment and records, as well
as, all physical aspects of the property including parking lots and
motor vehicles. Participate in investigations, maintain records and
prepare incident reports and other documents pertinent to security
activities accurately and completely. Investigate disturbances and in
the event of emergency, take charge of policing to maintain order,
safety and to protect property. Respond to emergency situations such as
accidents and injuries crimes and safety hazards. Provide assistance and
summon the proper authorities. Respond to inquiries and assist Hospital
personnel; provide assistance in restraining of psychiatric patients as
requested. Secure and unlock offices and facilities. Secure patient
valuables and lost and found articles. Maintain required records and
reports and files as required. Maintain department equipment and
supplies. Attendance required at all education and inservice training
programs. Perform other work related duties as requested/directed.
Qualifications: Ability to read, write and communicate in English. High
school education or GED. 1 year prior experience as a Healthcare
Security Officer preferred. International Association for Healthcare
Security and Safety basic certification program (?IAHSS?) preferred, but
not required for employment. Must have good writing and verbal skills
and have the ability to produce a concise, accurate, well written
report. Ability to relate to all age and ethnic groups in a courteous
and professional manner. Possession of a valid driver\'s license. CPR
(Heart Saver) certification within 4 months of new position. CPI (Crisis
Prevention) within 4 months of new position and must renew annually.
Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training within 4 months of
hire and must attend MOAB training every 2 years Schedule Details: 40
hours per week, 8a-4p, Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and
Monday, Occ Holidays. *Sign-On Bonus Eligible!
