Job Description
As the Senior Enterprise Messaging Engineer , you will manage and monitor Windows OS servers and Microsoft systems to provide top tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Exchange 2016 or greater, Windows 2016 Active Directory (AD) or greater and mail gateways.
What You'll Do
Participate in the design and/or review of a distributed Microsoft Windows infrastructure
Provide top tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Exchange 2016 or greater, Windows 2016 Active Directory (AD) or greater and mail gateways in a distributed Exchange environment and ensure best practices are implemented
Manage and monitor Windows OS servers and Microsoft systems
Understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite products
Manage and troubleshoot Group Policy at all levels (local, OU, site, etc.)
Design, configure and implement a virtual server environment for enterprise messaging
Provides 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities
Understanding of enterprise mail filtering concepts is required
Must have a working understanding of task automation/scripting and be capable with at least 1 language (PowerShell, PERL, and VBScript) and standard tools (LDIFDE)
What You'll Need
Required:
5 years’ experience engineering in a large messaging system environment
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience
Microsoft Exchange related certifications preferred
5 years experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SNMP, SMTP, and other networking protocols
5 years expertise in developing and testing disaster recovery procedures for a full production Exchange Deployments including Active Directory ensuring COOP
8 years experience with Microsoft Exchange, including 2016, DAG replication; and Outlook
5 years experience configuring, deploying and maintaining SuSE Linux Enterprise Server including Novell applications and services
5 years experience with implementation and support of Microsoft 365 Suite products
5 years experience with managing and support of Group Policy at all levels (local, OU, site, etc.)
5 years experience with Data Protection Manager and/or Symantec NetBackup is required
3 years experience integrating heterogeneous mail systems is required
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required
Expert experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Blackberry enterprise servers
Experience with Data Protection Manager and/or Symantec NetBackup is required
Experience integrating heterogeneous mail systems is required
Expert knowledge of virtual server technology, configuration, and deployment strategies.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SNMP, SMTP, and other networking protocols
Expertise in developing and testing disaster recovery procedures for a full production Exchange deployment including AD components ensuring continuity of operations
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, including 2016, DAG replication; and Outlook
Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining SUSE Linux Enterprise Server including Novel applications and services
Knowledge of industry standard messaging systems, anti-spam and anti-virus solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology
Preferred:
Microsoft Exchange related certifications
5 years' experience with at least 1 language (PowerShell, PERL, and VBScript) and standard tools (LDIFDE)
3 years' experience with Iron mail appliances and Microsoft Forefront is desired
Physical Demands

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
