Description:
The Data Engineer works with both internal and external stakeholders to establish requirements and success criteria for the Data and Integration COE. A successful candidate will partner with both technical and product teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. They must meet the needs of our global digital business as we look to evolve our current delivery.
In this role you will be responsible for partnering with the data, integration, and platform teams to deliver detailed stakeholder requirements. The candidate will also liaise upstream and downstream to coordinate the multiple teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for data products, document the requirements, and configure the products per the requirements.
Driving the data projects to ensure that results are achieved, and deadlines are met.
Diagnosing and tracking issues/problems
Provide business use analysis as needed.
Interpreting vendor documentation and writing detailed user stories that describe user needs or program functions.
Delivers functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow and related documentation for new data projects and enhancement requests.
Test case and test data development.
Executes functional, integration, and regression test plans for new functionality, product releases and enhancements.
Ensures programs meet business specifications.
Assists in supporting activations and rollouts.
Define deliverable content and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from business and digital leadership.
Ensure alignment with other Digital project teams to standardize and leverage common policies across Carrier.
Work closely with data architects to maintain and ensure best practice paradigms and provide impact assessments and solution recommendations as appropriate.
Experience:
4 years practical training or experience with data tools like snowflake, SQL/Oracle database and documentation practices
Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
Experience in Python language and able to automate ci/cd pipelines and function extensions.
