Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Within CSCP, the Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) – Procurement Operations team ensures timely and compliant execution of critical procurement and contract activities in support of CO&I and CSCP data center, hardware, software, professional services, and network business needs.

We are looking for a Program Manager to fill a need within the fast-paced Procurement Operations team, specifically the Hardware Procurement and Cloud procurement and contract execution and controls. This team supports procurement business needs to facilitate growth of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, including - managing Purchase Order (PO) requisitions per SLA to support customer requirements while delivering high quality service through customer obsession, quality control of 'MyOrder' purchase orders (POs), reviewing and routing contracts, procurement process education, network PO creation, supplier onboarding, and assisting project owners in efficiently navigating the procurement process, while enforcing both corporate and business group purchasing policies to mitigate risk to Microsoft. We are looking for a high energy Program Manager who is passionate about operations while solving complex business optimization problems on a scale. Additionally, this team routinely drives strategic initiatives to improve processes and mitigate risk within the operations space.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a high energy Operations Program Manager who is passionate about operations while solving complex business optimization problems on a scale. Our desired individual will have excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, manage large volumes of work while possessing the skills to quickly communicate with stakeholders and identify priorities.

As an Operations Program Manager, you will work with a local team of vendors, improve existing processes via automation or process engineering and proactively mitigate potential risks to the business.

You will support the Operations team that is accountable for:

• Ensure that all necessary data is included in every PO and POs are submitted timely to meet SLAs Resolve all PO exceptions.

• Review and ensure all POs are submitted on time.

• Create manual POs, as needed.

• Prioritize POs and work with approvers and their business teams to drive timely approvals on high priority POs.

• Create and maintain tools and reports to fill system gaps and enable Procurement processes and other supporting processes.

• Provide operational support to various teams that rely on Purchase Order data. This includes -receiving and invoicing issues, process requirements, or general inquiries and clarifications.

• Partner with various Business Groups, Engineering teams, Regional Operations Centers, Data Center Operations, Finance, Strategic Suppliers and many more organizations to ensure our program is improving and executing operational solutions that enables scalable growth of data center deployments, as well as sustaining support for those deployments.

• Driving next generation workflow automation, allowing Cloud Infrastructure to scale at a pace required to support the business.

• Develop and maintain trusting stakeholder relationships across Operations, Business, Engineering and Supplier stakeholders.

• Ability to perform root cause analysis for PO blockers and driving process improvements to reduce cycle time and cost savings.

• Must be comfortable working with ambiguity and be adept at using data to influence decision making.

• Create user resources and guidance, develop process documentation, and deliver training.

• Perform in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and make recommendations.

• Identify themes within each of your areas of execution and be able to influence engineering effectively to improve the support or program experience for partners.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 2+ years experience (including internships) in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations

o OR equivalent experience

• 6+ years minimum experience working with BI reporting tools, knowledge of relational databases.

Preferred:

• Demonstrate excellent communication, written, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Previous experience working in Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management etc.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with advanced level expertise in Excel, Power BI/Power Platform tools and basic knowledge on relational databases.

• Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others.

• Ability to mentor and coach others

• Strong written and oral communication skills along with desire and ability to communicate with business leaders through all levels of the organization.

• Able to maintain a broader perspective and identifies and evaluates opportunities to enhance the business through cross-group collaboration.

• Experience driving improvements or process enhancements based on data insights.

• Ability to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high demand environment.

• Good attitude and flexibility in changing circumstances with cross regional collaboration.

• Strong Customer-focus and attention to detail.
