Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and vendor management: Strong skills in building and maintaining successful relationships with vendors for IT Hardware Asset Management

  • Procurement planning: Assessing organizational needs, developing plans to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of hardware. Maintain knowledge of BMS's standard end user devices and peripherals, IT hardware policies and procedures.

  • Purchase requisitions: Request quotes from BMS hardware vendors for approved IT hardware items, create requisitions, route for GOA approvals, maintain accurate purchasing records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements. Follow up with requisition approvers (GOA) to ensure the requisitions are approved on a timely basis.

  • Purchase order management: Creating purchase orders, verifying pricing and specifications, tracking orders to ensure timely delivery, resolving any issues or discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Cost control and savings: Implementing cost-effective procurement control, conducting price analysis between quotes & vendors, identifying opportunities for cost savings.

  • Risk management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the procurement process regarding delivery lead times, due dates, maintaining documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

  • Stakeholder collaboration: Collaborating with internal and regional stakeholders such as service delivery managers, finance, operations to understand their requirements, align procurement activities with organizational goals, and foster effective communication and coordination. Follow up with any client inquiries regarding their purchase orders, escalate and resolve client issues.

  • Process Improvements: Assess and improve procurement processes, streamline workflows, leverage technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Performance measurement and reporting: Partner with procurement managers by developing performance metrics, tracking, and analyzing procurement metrics, and presenting findings to management.

Required qualification (s) and desired experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 2+ years of related experience

  • Familiarity with the Ariba, SAP and ServiceNow platform is beneficial.

  • Understanding of organizational dynamics of a global corporation, operating culture, effective work styles, and achieving results in a change environment

  • Effective vendor management, stakeholder management, and internal customer relationship management

  • Demonstrated customer service mindset, ability to work independently and as a part of the team.

  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS applications including Excel.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
