Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Cloud Capacity Planning is one of the most central functions within CSCP due to its direct impact on Microsoft cloud business success. This team is responsible to generate forecasts, plans and manages the majority of Microsoft’s cloud services and directly influences cloud user experience. This is a central function that closely partners with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Centers, NPI and Deployment Engineering. As part of the Engineering organization, you will be responsible to consume the organic signals running into petabytes, transform into meaningful insights, generate ML models and help planning teams to generate accurate forecast for data center capacity. India Center-of-Excellence (CoE) is a thriving team which offers capabilities to make the planning processes efficient and best-in-industry by bringing expertise in areas Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science and Supply Chain Management. The team is growing very fast to get ahead of the Cloud Supply Chain demand increase and set up practices for structured long, medium and short-range planning.

Responsibilities

• You will be required to be hands-on and develop ETL solutions using distributed computing, bring innovative approaches that continuously improve our ability to deliver faster, better, and cheaper solutions while reducing the time and cost to build BI and analytics solutions and on-board with the highest quality.

• You will also interface with extended team members (Program managers and support team members) to ensure the highest quality solutions are delivered to our customers.

• You’ll be responsible for designing, developing high quality code solutions with an emphasis on quality, simplicity and maintainability while ensuring sound instrumentation and telemetry into the solutions and measuring Availability and Operational Intelligence metrics.

• You’ll also be required to work with your peers on big data, Hadoop technologies and collaborate across azure teams in big-data mining and adopt in the Supply Chain BI solutions.

• You will need to applying industry best practice transformation and modeling techniques – validating the output to ensure reliable and accurate results for consumption by downstream data teams and end users.

• You will need to drive development projects to evolve our supply chain platform and operations, leveraging the newest Microsoft technologies available to us.

• You will have to contribute to the success of Supply chain platform by trying out and testing new products and features, contributing to the design and development of major enhancements in the platform.

• You will need to work directly with business stakeholders to refine requirements, iterate, and finalize design, deliver working proofs of concept, and develop final data solutions.

• You will need to be part of live site and on call DRI duty for maintaining high availability of our analytics solutions.

• You will be required to collaborate with your peers and maintain flexibility on domain ownership as business priorities evolve.

• You will need to work with other data teams within Microsoft to understand their data products and architecture and utilize the same to evolve and improve the solutions in the Supply chain.

• You will need to understand the Supply Chain domain in detail and build solutions which are focused towards improving the overall Supply Chain operations and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of enterprise software design and development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise software design and development experience.

• Strong technical expertise in Hadoop, ADLS, HDInsight’s, ADF, ADW etc. with a good understanding and experience of working on Azure Analytics stack.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in data warehousing, data processing (ETL), e-metrics/measurement, business intelligence, information retrieval, parallel and distributed computation – Spark (PySpark)

• Experience in Hadoop stack and able to generate actionable insights and aid in live site reviews is a requirement. You are expected to be an advocate of the customer by bringing in customer’s perspective when designing, developing, and testing solutions.

• Experience in implementation of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms.

• Experience in analyzing very large real-world datasets and hands-on approach in data analytics.

• Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Telemetry etc. Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a solid understanding of testing practices.

• Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges.Experience working in a global delivery model.

• Experience with SCRUM, LSB, SAFe or similar Agile development/implementation methodologies.

• Familiarity with automation tools – Visual Studio etc.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering. Previous exposure to Data Analytics stack in Azure.

• Supply Chain Domain knowledge.
