Job Description
Job Title: Test Engineer I
Job Location: Hyderabad, India
Responsibilities:
Test Engineer I - Define the scope of embedded software testing within the context of each software releases and support execution.
Writing test plans which includes Test strategies, Test objectives, Testing phases, scenarios and test environment etc. after a detailed analysis of the business rules. Estimate the testing efforts.
Implement test cases described and detailed in the test plan during the development cycle and formal product validation
Work independently in a team to conduct sophisticated software testing activities
Good exposure on end to end testing. Medical Equipment validation is add on
Candidate Requirement:
Education:
Bachelor’s /master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Technical Proficiencies:
3 to 5 years of Embedded Software testing in validated environment and hands-on experience in developing and maintaining functional, regression suites etc.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Ability to work with diverse and global teams and work in a Global matrix organization
Independently own test execution - Test execution to be carried out with minimal direction.
Good knowledge on using Lab measuring equipment like Multimeter, Oscilloscope, TC Simulators, Voltage sources etc.
Good knowledge on any emulators, debuggers, simulators for any microcontrollers.
Innovation, Collaborative and value driven attitude
Supports and works closely with Design Managers on understanding System specs to draft Test plan.
Proven track record to troubleshoot issues and resolve root cause of defects
Solid understanding of software QC methodologies, tools and processes
Awareness on End to End SW Testing.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams during all phases of the toll-gate process
Support in developing new technologies and innovations
Lead, mentor and facilitate problem solving and quality improvements
Exercise good judgment determining priority and severity of defects
Identify failures during test execution and log appropriate information needed into defect tracking system to allow the developer to understand, reproduce, and address the issue
Contribute to innovation and process improvement efforts
