and passionateLead Cookto join theEarly Head Start Preschool
Programat ourEarly Head Start HoopesLocation in Idaho Falls.
Responsibilities:
A Cook in our Early Head Start Preschool Program will be responsible for
preparing and serving healthy and delicious meals for our students and
staff. You will have the opportunity to work in a fun and collaborative
environment where your culinary skills and creativity will be
appreciated.
- Collaborate with the Head Start team to create menus that meet USDA
and program requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of food and kitchen
supplies.
- Promote good nutrition and healthy eating habits among children and
staff.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Be willing to participate in professional development and training
opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a food handlers permit (EICAP will
cover cost)
- Experience in food preparation and serving for a large group
- Local Health District (6 or 7) food supervisors\' course, 3 hours.
- Food handler course (levels I and II) and record keeping experience.
- Must pass a Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
- Must complete a physical exam.
- Valid Driver\'s License and proof of liability insurance for
personal vehicle
- The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP\'s
training program
Compensation:
TheHead Start Cookis a full-time position. We offer a competitive
