Function: Responsible for assisting customers with opening loan and deposit accounts over the phone. Refers customers to other business lines when appropriate. Responsible for achieving individual goals including but not limited to loan and deposit production through inbound opportunities and outbound calling production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Profiles customers to determine and recommend appropriate S&T products or services.

Completes applications and processes consumer loans and assists customers with opening of new deposit accounts.

Uses a combination of referral/sales skills, product knowledge, and knowledge of policies and procedures to suggest additional bank services such as other lending products and deposit services. Make referrals to the Wealth Management, Mortgage, Commercial Lending, Business Bankers, and Branch Offices when appropriate.

Follows up on loan and deposit accounts opened and corrects deficiencies or document exceptions.

Performs outbound calling efforts for promotions and call campaigns as assigned. May call on new and existing customers to generate new business.

Contributes to department sales goals by consistently recommending S&T products and services. Demonstrates ability to work independently while remaining highly motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

Maintains a positive relationship with bank customers as well as good working relationships with other departments and bank employees.

Requires S.A.F.E. Act certification. Proof of registration with the registry and verification of a unique identifier as established under the guidelines of the S.A.F.E. Act is required upon hire and/or must be obtained prior to performing the duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator, as defined by the Act. This registration must be maintained annually in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act.

Performs other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the Solution Center Division.

Achieve necessary certification(s).

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day; operates office equipment: 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet. The job requires a cycle of body movements to include reaching above the shoulders one time per minute which is slow in speed. Bending and twisting at least one time per minute is required which is slow in speed. Standing is required one hour per day in a straight position. Sitting is required six hours per day while in a leaning position. Walking is required one hour per day which is moderate in speed. Routinely lifts 5 lbs., one time per day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"- 20" for computer work 40% of the business day. Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.

Experience

Two to five years general experience required, and specialized experience preferred

Salary Range:

$16.23 - $28.85
