PPG Industries Planner Coordinator - JR2417646 in Indianapolis, Indiana

Do you like paying attention to the details? PPG is seeking a Planner Coordinator to support our Aerospace business unit in Indianapolis, Indiana! You will have the opportunity to provide stellar support to our Aerospace Application Support Centers! We need your help to achieve our department goals!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates and issues Material Requirements Planning and Work-in-Process status reports
  • Builds, prioritizes, issues and closes production work orders
  • Updates capacity planning and master schedule; determine production material required; verifies quantities available
  • Operates computer and uses inventory control and shop-floor programs to produce scheduled daily, weekly, or ad-hoc reports
  • Reviews open order report information, verify accuracy or investigates and corrects discrepancies
  • Communicates type of materials approaching critical re-order levels to purchasing function to assure material is available for production requirements
  • Stores, maintains and safeguards inventory file printouts, bills-of-material and shop floor actions
  • Align with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations including decimals, fractions, percentages, and metric conversions

*Qualifications:*

  • One (1) year of basic administrative experience required
  • One (1) year of data entry experience in a manufacturing or supply chain related role preferred
  • High school diploma equivalent (GED) required
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
