Make a Difference

The Senior Behavioral Health Clinician provides direct patient care through assessment of psychoeducational and/or therapeutic intervention needs, gross motor and fitness needs, creative arts, recreational therapy, and/or leisure education needs. Participates in treatment plan development, unit-based programming, and individual and group therapeutic interventions.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • Recognizes and commits to critical importance of customer satisfaction (both internal and external customers).

  • Participates in the provision of comprehensive psychosocial assessments.

  • Participates in the development of individualized treatment plans, group facilitation, and individualized therapeutic interventions.

  • Provides effective and efficient mental health interventions appropriate to patient treatment needs.

  • Bachelor's Degree : B.A. or B.S. in behavioral science with field experience: post-graduate requirements must be met or in process to obtain professional registration/certification in field of study (e.g., occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, art therapy, music therapy, dance/drama therapy). (Required)

  • One (1) year of inpatient or related psychiatric experience (required)
