The Opportunity

As the Senior Director of Field Operations, you will play a critical role in leading the Worldwide Field Revenue Operations Team. The role requires a change agent, someone who will drive the transformation and optimization of the Field Revenue Operations function to meet the speed and direction of Sales.

This position requires an analytical mind with the ability to tell a “story” with data that aligns to business optimized outcomes. This is a highly visible role that will partner with the Chief Revenue Officer, Theatre Sales leaders, Corporate teams, BI Team, Business Applications, Legal, Finance, Product Management, Channel, Marketing, and other business partners across Nutanix to manage and grow Nutanix, drive sales efficiency and operational excellence.

You possess relevant subject matter knowledge across the sales process including Forecasting, designing and interpreting Control Books, Lead Management, Opportunity Development, Configuration, Pricing, Quoting, CRM (Salesforce), and the overall end to end sales process. You will provide thought leadership in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will lead the WW Field Operations team which is comprised of Theater Operations in Americas, EMEA and APJ, as well as Renewal Operations, Channel Operations, Portfolio Products, Inside Sales, Global Accounts and our large Pre-sales organization.

A key responsibility includes driving and supporting WW initiatives that are both large and small, cross-organization in nature, and cross- regional. At times you will lead internal initiatives that will transform and evolve the business. You will ensure that the project meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, designing, deployment and adoption. You will manage company and third-party efforts to plan, build and implement solutions to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

As a key leadership role, you will provide mentoring and guidance both in sales as well as with supporting organizations. You exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives and business outcomes. You will develop strategy and set business priorities and direction aligned with the WW Sales Goals.

Your Role

· You are the key resource supporting the WW Sales Leadership including: CRO, 3 theater sales SVPs, Inside Sales, Renewal Sales, Global Accounts Sales, Channel and Presales.

· You will engage with WW Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing and others in order to effectively execute your responsibilities.

· You will take a lead role in managing the Nutanix Sales Forecast process from Sales to Finance. This means that you will collaboratively or independently execute weekly forecast cadence supporting the CRO and as necessary communicating forecast updates to Finance Leadership.

· In addition to the weekly forecast, you will also track, monitor and advise Sales Leaders of any potential issues to achieving quarterly results and recommend course of action.

· You will work collaboratively with WW, Theater and Regional resources to be successful

· Provide thoughtful insights for sales leadership based on data and trends.

· You will be engaged in the annual planning process including account segmentation, territory planning and quota planning. While you may not directly manage the process, you must be aware of timing, roadblocks and champion appropriate solutions to achieve expected outcomes.

· Work collaboratively across the global organization to develop and advance key initiatives, optimize business processes, design policies, and drive new productivity initiatives.

· You should be familiar with Channel based business as Nutanix executes 100% of our business via a robust channel network.

· Responsible for stakeholder management and developing well defined milestones, including following up on action items to ensure completeness and alignment.

· Provides thought leadership and contribute to expanding the knowledge base across the sales process.

· Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics.

· Lead the retooling of our sales reporting which includes the weekly CRO Control books, the QBR decks and data as well as any other regular or ad-hoc reporting needs.

· Develop meaningful measurement systems to confirm impact on business.

· Collaborates across businesses, functions, theaters, and regions to align strategy and direction.

What You Will Bring

· 20+ years of business experience, including a proven track record of performance in sales reporting and analytics, strategy sales operations and program management roles.

· Positive attitude along with a passion for the business and data.

· Experience with end-to-end sales processes and tools.

· Excellent executive presence, ability to drive adoption and build credibility with senior leadership.

· Outstanding problem-solving skills.

· Ability to translate ideas and requirements from sales leadership into a executable plan with timelines and outcomes clearly defined.

· Engage and guide BI resources to insightful and actionable reports.

· Excellent communications skills and a high level of comfort collaborating with both sales and cross functional team members.

· Ability to articulate Sales Operations practices – Renewal sales, Channels, Inside Sales, PreSales, Compensation, etc.

· Exceptional analytical, reporting, data manipulation, problem solving and Business Intelligence skills with attention to visual & design nuances in analysis presentation.

· Experience with Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Clari a plus.

· Detail-oriented but can also see the big picture. Can crunch the numbers and clearly articulate the key takeaways in an executive summary. Tell a “story”.

· Comfortable working with diverse global counterparts and functions.

· Proficient in Power Point, and able to build professional, executive worthy decks.

· Ability to quickly pivot and thrive in an agile environment and meet critical deadlines.

· Must be able to coordinate decisions across multiple stakeholders.

· Able to manage multiple initiatives in varying size and scope simultaneously.

· Self-Directed individual who will seek out information as needed to achieve the right outcomes.

· Comfortable operating with limited resources and doing hands on work to get the job done.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 211,200 and USD $ 421,200 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
